It's wild here with a westerly wind consistently gusting over 40mph. I took my glass and plastic recycling up to the roadside in the car but didn't even try to get it into the bin as I could hardly stand up, and the car door was threatening to blow off! I didn't have much confidence in the bin staying where it was once I detached it from its secure hooks either. I gave up and retreated to safety!

Yesterday afternoon was consistently windy but remained dry. We settled into a quieter dry night and this morning is overcast but dry even though the Met Office tells us it is raining. The glass is up slightly on 1010mb. The forecast is for a mainly dry day, overcast until early afternoon and then sunny intervals. The mainly SSW wind will be moderate and should not gust to more than 25mph. We can expect a high of 11C and a low of 7C tonight with a constant wind chill of only -2C. A quieter day than yesterday! The outlook is for overcast showery weather and later in the week it will start to cool slightly.

We had rain last night, stopped now, light cloud with no breeze, haven’t been outside so can’t report on the temperature. Been out to top up the bird seed, and it’s quite mild.

A pleasant morning. It was sunning earlier, that’s gone, but it’s still bright, no breeze and an acceptable temperature.

Yesterday was a re-run of the day before, The afternoon was dry under bright overcast and just before dark we had a light shower of rain. It's been a quiet night and this morning we have a breeze broken overcast but it is dry and mild. The glass is rock steady on 1009mb. The forecast is the same as yesterday, Heavy overcast and breezy with rain coming in mid-morning. The constant SW wind is brisk and gusts up to 35mph giving us a high of 11C and a low tonight of 7C with a wind chill of at least -3C for most of the day. The outlook is for a similar wet day tomorrow followed by 5 days of broken weather but staying mild. Nothing to complain about!

Yesterday the rain was constant, if it stopped I didn't see it! It's still raining this morning and the g lass has fallen to 1004mb. The forecast is for heavy overcast and rain all day. The light wind starts as WSW but backs during the day to end up in the north. We can expect a high of 9C and a low tonight of 2C with a -2C wind chill for most of the day. The six day outlook is for broken weather, mostly brighter and dry with temperatures warmer than the seasonal norm.

What was I thinking, saying 35mm and 80mm of Rain? 🤣
.
Today we have a 35% “chance” of rain, tomorrow 95% and Sunday 85%. Still a lot of rain for us.
..
I’ve checked, and the neighbours aren’t building any Arks 😄

Yesterday afternoon reverted to very light rain and then we had a quiet night. This morning we have dry overcast and a light wind but it is still mild. The glass is up on 1009mb and tending to rise. The forecast is for bright overcast until noon and then possible sunny spells this afternoon with the chance of a light shower. The light wind is NNW until noon when it starts to back into the west and later the south west. We can expect a high of 8C and a low of 3C tonight with a wind chill that could rise to -4C at times later if the wind rises. The outlook is for similar mixed weather, staying mild. The old saying says that March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb..... No signs of this yet.

Yesterday afternoon settled down as bright, dry and mild and it remained like that as we entered what turned out to be a quiet night with a full moon. This morning we had a breeze and broken cloud but relatively mild. The glass is up on 1012mb and tending to fall. The forecast is for a heavily overcast day with occasional light showers. The southerly winds will be moderate and gust to 30mph. We can expect a high of 11C and a low tonight of 8C with a wind chill that starts at -5C and is -4C for much of the day. The outlook is for a very similar day tomorrow and then the rest of the wee will be brighter with some sunny intervals and similar temperatures.....

1st day of AUTUMN for us. I think this will be the last rain that we will have for a while.
It’s been lovely, and really changes the light and how everything looks.

Over here the meteorologists would have you believe that today is the first day of Spring. Making things that you have no control over such as our orbit around our sun bend to your fantasies is pointless. Our planet's Spring Equinox in the UK will be on the 20th of March so in another 19 days. It's currently late Winter at the moment, the sum may be shining but it means nothing in the vast scale of things. They will claim the same on the first day of June about Summer and again an early start for Autumn and Winter. I cant understand why they have to attempt to change something that has stood for millennia.
