Yes Kev, they've modified the weather forecast and added the yellow warning from 18:00 to 09:00 tomorrow.
I've been out for some essential shopping this morning. Bitterly cold but I don't need to worry about milk now.....

The Yeti is showing 1.5 down here, that wind is biting.
Just checked the outdoor thermometer and it's 0C here now.

Yesterday afternoon was notable mainly for the bitter wind. Despite the Yellow snow and ice warning there has been no sign of it during the night. This morning it's calm and we have light rain with tiny flakes of snow, enough to wet the flags. The glass has fallen to 990mb. The forecast is for light wintry showers until dawn and then a misty day. The constant East wind will be light and we can expect a high of 5C and a low of 3C tonight with a wind chill of -4C for most of the day. Expect another cold overcast day tomorrow and then similar weather for the rest of the week but perhaps slightly warmer.
