The donate feature for the site is not working at the moment. PayPal are having one or two technical issues which are not helping fixing the problem. Normal service will be resumed as soon as possible.

Unfortunately not Gloria, when did you try to donate? If it was before lunchtime yesterday it was still bust! I fixed it yesterday afternoon and there have been three successful donations, last one a 03.03am this morning.

Sorry to hear you're having problems Gloria. You'll have to do it the old fashioned way, send Ian a cheque!

Mrs Tiz has just successfully made a donation. We hadn't been able to do it about a week ago and Ian tried and got the same whirling icon symbol. Then yesterday he said it was working again and I said we'd do it today. I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble Gloria, it might be due to today's worldwide outage caused by Crowdstrike and especially hitting Microsoft products, as Stanley suggested.

Gloria's problem came down to cached settings in the browser, hanging on to broken code I reckon. She's happy now she has been successful.

Thanks to everyone who has donated recently.

I received an email from IONOS this morning advising that our last invoice payment was declined by PayPal due to insufficient funds!

I have checked of course and can confirm that we currently only have a balance of £40.08 in our account.

The IONOS invoice is for £64.80 hence the refusal. It does not specify the details of the invoice which I will have to check but I assume it will be a quarterly payment and other bits and bobs.

I have to jump through some alternative payment option hoops to keep our account live. Failure to maintain our dues can lead to loss of domain hosting etc..

I will of course submit a finance report in due course which I think is due around now anyway. My apologies for taking my eye of the ball so to say.

I have checked and the invoice is for our Quarterly payment alone. The monthly charges have increased by £2 from £16 to £18 per month + VAT

Thanks for the feedback and donations, crept up on me that one! I have paid the outstanding balance so the wolves, (Aunt Helga) are at bay for the time being, (wolves do get a bad press though). :extrawink:
