Yes, that's right, for mending a leak in a bucket or pan. In my younger days you could buy hem in the shops but that's long gone so I had to make this one myself.
No Peter, not asbestos but the original ones used to be I think.

It's cuneiform script and so comes from the Middle East over 2000 years ago. As to who and what it is I can only guess. Etruscan and a shopping list? :biggrin2:
