Hello
I am looking to find relatives of the late Frank Windle. Son of Robinson. Born in I think 1904. Lived in Knaresborough for some time.
Thank you

Born in Barnoldswick though Stanley. I see he was living with Holdsworths in Knaresborough in 1939. Did he not marry Theresa?

I haven't had time yet to re-read the Windle Index but it's there in active topics for Theresa......

He did live with the Holdsworths. I think he married later in life, but not sure who he married or if he had children.

A bit less than welcoming message for Theresa - from a site which is ideal for her information?

Any ideas would be welcome. I have found him on ancestry as the uncle of marlenealwyn
I have messaged her, but not sure if she is still with us. I imagine she would be in her 80s
Anyhoo! We will keep trying. We are in Australia so it’s a bit more difficult!!
Cheers
Teresa

if you type 'windle' into the site search button in the masthead you get 159 hits on the site. Have you looked at all of them?

I have moved this post to the genealogy section in the "Looking for Someone" thread. The practice posting area auto purges topics after about 10 days. This is now a shadow topic in Practice Posting and will be auto purged if no further comments are made there. The topic in the new location will remain independently.

Not sure if this is the right place for this.
I note that the Irish Free State 1926 (26 Counties), census has been released online.
It seems to be totally free to use, and will surely be of interest to some members on here. It might be for me - though I'm not sure where to start.
