When I left for Yorkshire, some 4 weeks ago, I had the garden in a submission hold. Little did I know that under the surface were rampant weeds waiting for me to go away so they could flourish. The garden in this house was just filled with weeds, and it is almost back to square one!

Do what I did Julie. Give in to Mother Nature, allow the weeds to grow, call it re-wilding and watch the insects and birds enjoy it! :biggrin2: :good:

I was greeted by these lovely white flowers this morning. Not sure what they are, they look like something a Grandma might grow.
I have 2 of these bushes and they were planted a good 20 years ago.

I picked this from my tree yesterday. I'm quite proud of it, and it tastes almost as good as it looks.
It's been a good year for apples. Not so good for plums - the wasps beat me to it.

Looks good David.... I have had to ban apples from my diet. Another penalty of Type 2!

Me too but I don't have diabetes. It's the acidity that inflames my gut. People will say to me `Eat this apple, it's very sweet, not acid'. I have to decline the offer and explain that the perceived sweetness masks the acid that is always present in apples.

I often forget the cross you have to bear Peter. I apologise, I speak as a man who is expecting a gallon of vinegar to be delivered today.....
I am so lucky in so many ways..... When I think of all the things I could be suffering from, my small tally seems amazing.
