I told them not to get me anything this year as the usual goodies are off the agenda at the moment.
I met my big lad yesterday, and as a we parted he threw a rather posh looking bag onto the passenger seat. I couldn't wait for Christmas day -so I had a peep last night.
Well I never. . . . .

The Christmas tree is now an ex Christmas tree and lying on its side in the back garden. A new, man-made tree is in its place, no baubles but plenty of lights and it has survived 2 days of tail swishing. The only unfortunate bit is that Buster can once again get to the window to bark at imagined friends or enemies. Ah well, it was good while it lasted....

What a sad story! But very brave Julie.
I'll bet there are still pine needles in the room, they are like dog hairs, they have a very high persistence quotient!

Season's greetings and best wishes to all members from Tripps.
I had a nice phone call and a chorus of "We wish you a merry Christmas" from my Filipina friends which was nice.
There was a complaint though - that a pig's head which butchers could not sell when they first came here fifteen years ago, and used to be 50 pence are costing £10 each this year. I told them to blame the influx of immigrants.

Glad to see you didn't go short David! I trust you didn't eat too much.
We have a clear sky and lots of stars but it is very cold out there. The wind chill is -6C at the moment......

I’m a little disappointed, I haven’t noticed as many Christmas Wishes from members this Christmas.

I've got to the bottom of the watch puzzle. I didn't think it was an original, but it certainly looked like it - and the packaging is very convincing.
I've now discovered
Super clone watches
Seems mine is a AAA grade which is the second highest. It cost more than I would want anyone to spend on me, but I think it's a very good watch - and self winding too - it's a nice gesture.

Well - it's an ill wind. . . .
Another day at the top of the opening 'active topics' page has increased the views of my Bugis Street watch up to 180.
The current view record holder for my posts is the picture by Manet - "Portrait of An Artist as A Flâneur". Stands at 252 at the moment.
Simple things amuse simple minds.
If the terminally curious among you google Bugis Street - ignore most of what you read. It was popular, as it continued to serve beer after midnight when the bars closed. The riskiest thing to do was play noughts and crosses with kids for ten cents a game - they never lost. A watch was from memory about $5, when there were eight dollars to the pound.

How do you find out how many times an image has been viewed.

That was just what I thought this morning Cathy when I read David's post and by chance I hovered my cursor over the image and a box popped up with the information. It doesn't work with images put up using the Gallery, only with those that are attached from somewhere else.
