TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER

Yesterday afternoon was overcast but dry. No late sun. We had clear skies for most of the night. At the moment it is clear and we have a light west wind. The glass is on 1013mb and tending to fall. The forecast is for a bright sunny start to the day but by mid morning we will have overcast and a chance of showers later in the day. The light wind starts in the west but by mid morning has become northerly and stays like that for the rest of the day. We can expect a high of 13C and a low tonight of 1C with a -2C chill for much of the day. The outlook is cool and bright but starting to warm up a bit from Friday onwards....

There will be a -3C wind chill early on but this will reduce throughout the day. The outlook is for similar weather but getting warmer.

The glass is up on 1017mb but the forecast is for a cloudy wet day with significant rain... The easterly winds tend to the north and are light all day gusting to 30mph this afternoon. We can expect a high of 12C and a low tonight of 2C with a maximum wind chill of -3C. The outlook for the rest of the week will be brighter and drier than today but no warmer.

The light to moderate winds are northerly all day and we can expect a high of 12C and a low of 3C tonight with a -3C wind chill until late morning when it begins to reduce as the wind drops.... The outlook is for similar weather all week.

I’ve hung my freshly washed towels out to dry, even tho grey clouds are coming and going.

The forecast is for rain until dawn and then a dry day of sunny intervals. The moderate but gusty winds will be westerly until dawn and then NE for the rest of the day. We can expect a high of 11C and a low tonight of 0C with a -3C wind chill for most of the day.The outlook is for similar weather with showers perhaps on Wednesday and Thursday.

Dried all the washing outside yesterday, when the sun was out it was lovely and warm, not so when it was hidden by clouds. Today we have odd bits of blue sky, no breeze and it’s quite cool, still it’s not raining.
