Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Pollen count is high today in the north west. It's trees at the moment, birch is high and ash is moderate.

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Breezy and sunny here Gloria but very pleasant.
I have just done the rest of the veggie shopping and am sat down now having a breather before dinner. I shall do the actual cooking tomorrow....

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday the forecast proved accurate and most of the afternoon was overcast and raining. It dried up as night fell but then rain returned before midnight. At the moment it's wet and windy.... The glass is down on 1010mb and tending to fall. The forecast is for rain until 03:00 then a day of heavy overcast and the return of rain this afternoon. The constant southerly winds will be brisk all day gusting to 35mph this afternoon. We can expect a high of 16C, a low of 8C tonight and a wind chill of -4C this afternoon in the stronger winds. The outlook is for mild unsettled weather... Friday could be wet but otherwise dry.
Later at 03:15. It's stopped raining but we still have the wind and the overcast.....

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
We had quite heavy squally showers yesterday afternoon. This morning is lightly overcast, slight breeze and the temperature is getting warmer.

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday afternoon the rain returned and we went into nightfall with sporadic showers. It has been wet during the night and is raining at the moment. The glass is down a touch and steady on 1007mb. The forecast is for the rain to cease by 03:00 and for a dry day of broken cloud and sunny intervals. The south westerly winds will be moderate all day gusting to 35mph at the moment but gradually easing during the day. We can expect a high of 14C and a low of 9C tonight with a wind chill that is -4C at the moment but will soon drop back to -3C for the rest of the day. The outlook is for a wet day tomorrow but then brighter and dry for the rest of the week.

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
We had very heavy rain just before 6pm yesterday, which included thunder and lightning, which came almost at the same time. We’ve never had a thunderstorm in all of the three years we’ve lived here. It lasted only a short while and disappeared as quickly as it came.
This morning is lightly overcast, no breeze and the temperature has increased, so an acceptable day in the offing.

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday afternoon the wind dropped and it stayed dry under bright overcast. We had a dry, quiet night but it has now started raining. The glass is steady on 1014mb and the forecast is for heavy overcast and showers until this afternoon when it could brighten and become dry and sunny. The southerly winds will be moderate and gradually increase until this afternoon the are gusting to well over 30mph. We can expect a high of 15C and a low tonight of 7C with a wind chill of -3C for most of the day. The outlook is for drier brighter weather for the rest of the week.

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday afternoon eventually dried up except for a spell at 17:30 when we started to get really big drops of rain from a dark sky, It looked like a really bad shower but in the end never happened. It's been a quiet night and at the moment it's breezy, overcast, dry and mild. The glass is steady on 1014mb and the forecast is for a dry overcast day with possible sunny spells late this afternoon... The westerly winds will be moderate all day gusting to almost 30mph this afternoon. We can expect a high of 12C and a low of 1C tonight with a constant wind chill all day of -3C. The outlook is for brighter dry weather warming up a bit at the end of the week.

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday afternoon we lost the sun for a while but then it returned and it was sunny right up to nightfall. We have had a quiet clear night and that's how things stand at the moment.... A clear cool nigh with a light breeze. The glass is up on 1022mb and the forecast is for a mainly sunny day. The constant light WSW wind will shift to WNW at Dawn and stay like that for the rest of the day. We can expect a high of 12C and a low of 0C tonight with a wind chill of -3C until dawn and -2C thereafter. The outlook is for bright sunny weather getting gradually warmer.

We’ve been having lovely days. There is a very ‘still’ feeling, with the occasional light breeze . Some of the tree’s leaves are just starting to drop, and some are changing their colours.

Temps are warming up this week. It’s +6C above average today. No rain expected in next 10 days, but most days we have had very light, very short showers. Love this time of the year.
