Yesterday afternoon was another gloomy end to the day. This morning we have niggling little cold breeze under a clear sky. The glass is up on 1006mb and the forecast is for a clear day with full sun. We shall have a constant light NW wind all day and can expect a high of 7C, a low of -5C tonight and a wind chill of -3C for much of the day. Thursday will be a warmer day but the rest of the week is more overcast and colder.

Yesterday afternoon was full sun but below freezing due to the prevailing North winds. We had a clear night and first thing this morning it was calm, clear and frosty. It is still like that but with a promisee of overcast. The glass is up on 1018mb and the forecast is for an overcast day with possible sunny intervals this morning but after noon we can expect the overcast to become heavier and there is the possibility of rain. The winds today will be SW and start calm but gradually strengthen until they become moderate later today. We can expect a high of 7C and a low of 6C tonight with a wind chill that could be -4C this afternoon and evening as the wind strengthens. Expect a warm wet day tomorrow but then the rest of the week settles down to bright dry overfcast and seasonal temperatures. No surprises.

Yesterday afternoon followed the forecast and gave us heavy overcast and rain which extended well into the night. This morning first thing we still had wind and rain and it hasn't improved since. The glass is down on 1007mb and falling. The forecast is for wind and rain all day. The constant SW wind will be brisk and gusts to over 40mph later in the day. We can expect a high of 13C and a low of 6C tonight with a wind chill of -4C for most of the day. The outlook for the rest of the week is for similar broken weather but cooler.

To be honest, I never noticed the weather yesterday afternoon I was too busy dealing with a small domestic crisis!

The evening was windy but mostly clear skies. This morning it is windy, cold an d dry under broken overcast. The glass is down sightly on 1003mb. The forecast is for the daylight hours to be wet and windy. After dark, just windy. The constant SW wind will be brisk and gusts to over 40mph all day. We can expect a high of 8C, a low of 3C tonight and a wind chill of -5C for most of the day. The outlook is for broken weather, tomorrow and Monday being very wet. Quite cold.

It’s gone very dark, chucking it down now, and we’ve just had a clap of thunder.

I'd just gone back to bed for a dadnap when at 11:45 we had what I can only say was a mini-cell of violent weather. It had been raining hard but suddenly it went dark, the rain increased as the wind started gusting well above 40mph and then the rain turned to sheets of hail that rattled on the north facing window of the bedroom. This lasted just short of ten minutes and then we went back to being a normal snotty November day.
It was the most violent episode I have seen for many years and I'm glad it didn't last!

Went out to the backyard to help youngest offspring put my ladder onto his roof rack, glad I put a coat on that wind has got a chill to it.

Yesterday was nasty, cold and at times violent. This morning we have overcast and light rain. The glass is down slightly on 999mb. The forecast is for heavy overcast and rain all day. The moderate wind swings about all over the compass starting in the south and ending as NW. We can expect a high of 6C and a low tonight of -1C with a wind chill that could reach -5C later in the day. I think it's November. Monday looks warmer and very wet, the rest of the week looks brighter, drier and colder.

It’s a lot brighter here than the picture looks.
We have had 23mm or rain in the last 24hrs. Lovely.
Yesterday I braved to go out to a large shopping centre ( mall type), Black Friday sales and of course crowds everywhere.
Today I am happy at home with our very breezy , cloudy 19C . Looks like warmer weather, mid next week.

You are streets ahead of us now Cathy. It will never feel warmer than 2C today and by dark tonight it will be freezing.... A good day for staying indoors if you are lucky enough to be able to do that....

Bar one day London's week ahead seems to be cloud cover , reported that it wont rain all the time, but given the pressure chart and cloud content I think the BBC presenters are drawing an incorrect conclusion. clear night/s is expected with the temps going down.

BBC TV has changed forecast a little. The fronts are both coming faster but the rear ones disapaiting in the atlantic. So a chill clear sunday then monday lots of rain expected in South Wales but thereafter warmish in the south cooler in the north with clear spells and scattered showers for rest of week looks the course of things.

Yesterday was drier than forecast and the afternoon ended with clear skies that were still the case first thing this morning when it was clear and frosty. The glass has risen to 1002mb and the forecast is for a clear day with good sun all day. The constant westerly winds give us a high of 6C and a low of 4C tonight with a chill that starts the day at -6C and gradually falls to -3C this afternoon. Tomorrow will be a mild wet dark day and after that we are back into drier brighter weather but cooler.

I am back home and sat down with a pot of tea after doing a veggie shop at the Co-op. Nice to take the weight off!
We have bright sun and only a light breeze Gloria, cold but pleasant enough to be shopping in. One thing is certain, it's a lot better than it will be tomorrow!

Yesterday we ran out of sunshine just as it was going dark and we slipped under the cloud and it started raining. I suspect it has rained all night. This morning we have wind, significant rain and a chill strong enough to make a theoretically mild day almost freezing. The glass is down on 999mb and the forecast is dead simple.... heavy rain all day! The constant southerly winds are brisk and gust to almost 40mph. Theoretically we can expect a mild high of 12C and a low tonight of 4C but the wind chill of up to -5C will ensure it feels colder. The outlook is for colder, brighter and drier weather as we plunge into December....

The Met Office tells me that sunrise is 08:04. The view through the kitchen window betrays no sign of it! It is dark wet and windy and I am sok glad I don't have to go out in it to earn a living. There are advantages to being old!

We have wet also Stanley, but no wind, it’s started as one of those days when it never comes proper light.
