Morning

We had a lovely lunch at the Town Hall but glad we went down in the car because of the rain. In the afternoon I did a bit of mending and a couple of alterations as I appear to have lost an inch off my waist since last year, though my weight is constant

This morning i have art at Haslingden, this afternoon I shall carry on sewing. I have quite a backlog of bought fabric from France that has built up whilst I have been teaching Lucy. Though the rain is not nice it is a good opportunity to catch up.

Another wet day, one of many more to come, the veggies I planted are looking good my flowers are looking very bedraggled. My normal ‘June garden’ is not looking very good at all. Have a good day all

I'll bet it's better than mine Sue..... Mind you, thye wild life loves it.
Back up after second sleep and gathering the strength to do veggie cooking.

All my veggies are cooked and stowed away in the fridge. The tins are all cleaned and put away and the hob has been cleaned. This is a nice time of the week and has been made even better by Kev pushing me to act against the people who ripped me off.

I shall be in the shed early doors working on my castings.... Later on I will cook savoury cabbage and onions and might have to go to the Co-op for milk.....

This morning I reduced the thickness of the gland and refitted it. Then I fitted the lid complete with gasket on the cylinder with the Piston and rod installed. Quiet careful work and everything fitted nicely. That took half an hour. Now I want my breakfast.

I have caught up with my sewing after a good do yesterday afternoon. Today is art this morning followed by lunch out, and unusually there will be the 6 of us. Its sunny at the moment but with small amounts of rain throughout the day. Have a good dar everyone

I shall be in the shed early doors working on my engine before breakfast. I managed to resist shopping for milk yesterday but will have to do it later today after second sleep and cooking buttered swede..... One long round of fun and jollity!

More refinement and erecting.... This will all be dismantled again but is necessary to prove that the parts actually do fit together. As you can see, we're not doing too badly but I will admit there have been some minor adjustments. Now I want my breakfast.

Its a wet day, not much planned. I have to repot a couple of cacti that have outgrown their pots, otherwise a bit of cleaning and washing. Have a good day all

Morning Sue! I have just come down after a solid five hours second sleep. I shall go to the Co-op for milk and shelf fillers after a hot drink and after that will cook buttered swede. Beyond that nothing stands out....I hope you have a pleasant day.

I might decline the shed this morning. It's cold and damp and the most attractive course is to have breakfast and go back to a warm bed.
Later I shall be looking at frying sweet potato chips and keeping warm. This is very unseasonable weather!

Yesterday was not as bad as expected, this seems to be the pattern at the moment. I managed to get my cacti repotted and they looked better even by the evening. The usual Sunday ironing was done yesterday afternoon leaving me with more free time today. Bob will be at the park and according to the forecast it should be a dry but windy afternoon. I shall do some packing ready for our trip to France leaving on Wednesday after our visit to the hairdressers in the morning. Otherwise I will potter and perhaps sit and read a book in the conservatory, and listen to some french pod casts I have on my ipad. Have a good day all

Much the same here Sue..... but Monday looks a bit nasty.
I am back up after a big sleep and have a hot pot of tea at my elbow. I'm looking at a bit of cooking shortly....

Right! That's the cooking done.... now I can sit back and work out what mischief I can get up to.....

Wendy it is just a short visit. We are away two weeks but only about 10 days there. The garden will have been growing furiously as they have had the same weather as here but much warmer so it is mainly a garden tidy week, though I will be a bit restricted as I still have stitches in the biopsy near my left ankle. I can cover it but would rather leave it to heal in the air.

Bob often used to go about now when I went on my art week with Wendy, though we no longer do that. We found a garden tidy then was usually the last big one we had to do as the weather normally gets warmer and drier in early July. We will be back at the end of July till late August. We can only stay 4 weeks max now as it is a condition of our house insurance here .

I feel guilty saying it but I shall miss the shed again this morning as it's so cold out there and the heating hasn't kicked in yet....
We get very close to a pork belly cooking session but not sure if that will be this morning.....

I have french at Haslingden this morning. This afternoon I am at the asthma clinic which should be interesting as I stopped using the inhaler way back in March when we were in France. I noticed no difference with or without. I promised my Dr that I would reconsider depending on todays review. Lucy is also coming this afternoon when we shall start a pair of trousers.

Its non stop rain today till after lunch, getting less as the morning goes on. It is also cold at 13 degrees. Forget T shirts and cardigans I will wear a jumper today. Have a good day all

Morning Sue, we have similar weather here but it might have stopped raining now. As for asthma clinic..... I often feel that doctors prefer you to take the Medicine they prescribe because that way they feel they are doing something useful.
I have just risen from five hours solid second sleep and after a hot drink I shall get my pork into the slow cooker....No day is wasted if 1000 words has been written and half an hour spent cooking!

A very nice piece of pork belly is cut up and sitting in the slow cooker with oranges, onions, pasata and spices.....

My point was taken , all measurements without medication for over 3 months were way above normal. My other medication has been cancelled and I have been given one new inhaler that can be used as a one off if ever needed ie if I get a chest infection or in a dusty environment and cannot breathe
