You sound busy as usual Sue. I hope things continue to fall into place as nicely as they did yesterday. I am ready to go to the Co-op but am letting my body have time to get up to speed!

I did my Co-op shopping and I'm now having a treat.... I'm cooking a glorious mixture of tomatoes, onions, red peppers, a lemon and the usual condiments, in butter. Topped off with two tins of expensive sardines in Tomato sauce.... £2.50 a tin but worth it for the lovely taste. It's all arguing quietly with itself on the stove.....

I'm having my dinner which is the sardine/onion dish with veggies and topped off with chips.... It is superb! Expensive and time consuming but a real treat.

I shall decline the shed this morning and instead I will get my pork belly processed and into the slow cooker with oranges, tomatoes and onions.....
Later I'll have a walk to the Co-op, I was really turned on by those sardines yesterday......

Morning

We shall be up early as we are expecting a delivery of heating oil between 8 and 12. The only other plans I have today are to finish planting up my veggie plot. We bought loads of plants at the market yesterday and I managed to get the tomatoes planted with a small frame around them to support them . Today I need to prepare the soil, cover it with weed resistant fabric and plant my courgette and butternut squash plants. It will take most of the morning.

The forecast is dry and 18 degrees. Have a good day all.

I am wakening up after Second Sleep. I have a letter to post and will be doing that first. The Pork Belly is seething gently.

I've posted my letter and had a speculatory Co-op shop! I got two smoked gammon rashers and some sprouts, both on sell-by date reduction. I'm cooking them both now. the sprouts as an extender the gammon rashers as the protein base of dinner and tea today....

You are right , luckily its only about once every three years we need to this , and it is cheaper ( despite present issues) after the winter. It was nearly 1000 euros

I shall be in the shed first thing for my daily dose of occupational therapy..... (It's also a useful antidote to the chaos of our modern world....
A walk may be on the cards later....

I think I may be getting old.... I was sat here minding my own business when it quietly dawned oin me that the last thing I wanted to do was go in the shed and work on my castings. I'd far rather have my breakfast and go back to bed for second sleep. So guess what..... Bugger the shed!

Morning

My bit of gardening is finished, Bob wants to do some weed killing, otherwise our main purpose for coming is completed. There is very little cleaning to do as we have spent most of our time outside but today I will hoover upstairs and wash all the towels. Our little robot vacuum cleaner ( courtesy of Temu) has kept all the floors downstairs clean so a quick mop is all that is needed tomorrow. We leave in the afternoon staying overnight in St Malo with the ferry on Friday during the day. It has been a very short visit but a nice break, with lots of fresh air and fine weather. Sadly I think the house viewing came to nothing .

Sorry about the house view Sue but at least it demonstrates that there is interest and summer is always the best time for viewing and selling. Onward and upward!
