Looks like a banjo oiler on the crank pin of large steam engine. Very posh and highly polished. Not one I recognise.

I have one as an attachment to a beard trimmer (not that I have a beard) and found it works well for me. Much easier than trying to pull them out with long nosed pliers

A spirit safe. An enclosed device used in the distillation of Scotch whisky. The device allows the distiller to analyze and manage the flow of the spirit as it emerges from the condenser without coming into direct contact with it.

Exactly right Kev. All that could be added is that the distillate is in bond, that's why the cabinet is locked and it's called a safe.
Now we need another object!
